Front row at yesterday's D&G spring/summer show were fashion's superbloggers - The Sartorialist’s Scott Schuman, Garance Doré of garancedore.fr, Tommy Ton of jakandjil.com and Bryan Boy of bryanboy.com. Ensuring the world was up to speed on Milan's fashion happenings in real-time the blog world's finest tapped away without a stony stare in sight.

The New Hippies: from the Mid West to North Africa
The FW02 collection was a mix and match of styles, inspirations, historical periods and ethnicities. In an effort to hone in on the concept of casual luxury, Dolce&Gabbana fashioned a collection built on contrasts. North African, Hippie, Victorian and Western, were merged in a marriage of styles, fabrics and silhouettes.

The Dolce&Gabbana Matt Silk Collection enjoyed VIP treatment when Swide, in collaboration with Italian video maker Luca Finotti wrote the story and shot a pretty special video with Bianca Balti.
The Matt Silk Collection for SS12 is cool, pretty and perfectly in tune with this season’s main trend: Fifties. Luca Finotti, an up and coming Italian director was charged with creating a video to contextualize the inspiration behind the glasses. Drawing from by the classic Italian Fifties comedies, the video tells a story of ironic jealousy between mother and daughter. Think classic car, Bianca Balti, vintage music, Italian scenery. The story for the video was created by Swide, styled by Yuri Ahn and directed by Luca Finotti. A Fifties day out for a contemporary woman.
